There's a bug in conky 1.8.1 (fixed in git) where only the first line of output will align as the user specifies (centered or right-justified) when running a script from execi, lua_parse, etc. There is a patch available here:

http://git.omp.am/?p=conky.git;a=commit;h=691036e3c37abc072e45ec84a35d0567a3702599

Can this be added to the next pkgrel? Thanks

This patch was submitted in May and reverted in June from the 1.8.1 and 1.8.2 branch. See the commits that match "alignr" in http://git.omp.am/?p=conky.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/1.8.1 .
Apparently, it caused more problems than it solved, so we cannot include it; this is a decision to be made upstream.
