go-openoffice 3.2.1.6-1 installs /usr/share/mime/packages/openoffice.xml, which isn't installed by the openoffice-base package.

It should not be installed, as the definitions present it in are already included in /usr/share/mime/packages/freedesktop.xml from shared-mime-info. This causes some problems with some mime definitions (*.fodt is assigned to application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text in openoffice.xml, but not in the canonical freedesktop.xml). This in turn makes things such as kde's unit tests to fail.

Please check state in Libreoffice from official repos that is based on go-oo and is going to replace go-oo when it becomes final.

According to http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/libreoffice/files/, libreoffice also installs openoffice.xml to /usr/share/mime/packages, so the problem persists.

This seems to be an upstream problem, though.

FWIW, I've reported this upstream to libreoffice: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31242
