Description:
For a long time, the license of PostgreSQL was designated as "BSD license". However, in 2009 it was found by Red Hat legal team that the license does not actually match BSD.

Long story short, there is now a new OSI-certified license called The PostgreSQL License (TPL):
http://www.opensource.org/licenses/postgresql
