Description:

freewrl 1.22.6-5 crash complaining it does not find the VeraMono font:

FreeType - can not use font /usr/share/fonts/TTF/VeraMono.ttf
dont know how to handle font id 0
FreeType - can not use font /usr/share/fonts/TTF
FreeWRL got a SIGSEGV - can you please mail the file(s) to

Steps to reproduce:

Install and run freewrl on a system without ttf-bitstream-vera package installed.

Freewrl crashs on startup after a fresh install. Can you please explain how to run freewrl without the vera font package and why it's not in depends instead?

Hm, it looks you are right and current freewrl depends on font hardly. I'll try to fix and update it to latest version...
