extra/curl-7.21.1-1 hardcodes various sizes in their curl/curlbuild.h:

This causes problems when using 'gcc -m32'
Upstream knows about this bug/feature. [1]
Fedora uses a workaround. [2]

this cannot be fixed until curl from extra, x86_64 is fixed

Then I suppose this bugreport should be moved back to Extra.
