Description:
I can't mount floppy disks with Nautilus after update to udisks 1.0.1-5, which contains the no-floppy.patch. With udisks 1.0.1-4 it works fine. Nautilus first tries to discover that any disks are inserted to drive, and after that tries to mount the disks. With the no-floppy.patch it seems that Nautilus always assumes the drive is empty, and therefore not try to mount. The command line mount ('udisks --mount /dev/fd0') also works with no-floppy.patch. Additional info: * package version(s) udisks 1.0.1-5 gnome-disk-utility 2.32.0-2 gvfs 1.6.4-1 nautilus 2.32.0-1 * related launchpad bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/udisks/+bug/441835 Steps to reproduce: 1. Insert a disk to your floppy drive. 2/A Click on floppy drive item in places menu -> nothing happens 2/B Double-click on floppy drive in Nautilus "Computer" location -> "no device media found" error message shown |

i suggest to report to them that is breaking mounting floppies.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=udisks
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30283
And I attached a patch from there, which is works for me.
What could I do?
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/devkit-devel/2011-September/001152.html
Therefore I created a new udisks-floppy package, that contains this patch, and brings back floppy support for GUI apps like Nautilus and Thunar:
