HAL builded with --disable-console-kit (see http://repos.archlinux.org/wsvn/packages/hal/repos/extra-x86_64/PKGBUILD). Why not move ConsoleKit from "requires" to "recommends" of HAL? Consolekit really useful for GNOME/KDE users only (Arch simle, lightweight... isn't it?) , but HAL useful sometimes in others WM/DE's. |

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: All policies reference consolekit stuff, so consolekit is a dependency. Though hal is built with --disable-console-kit, the policies still rely on behaviour coming from consolekit and thus consolekit is a dependency.
