http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=9553&highlight= When used as a rescue cd the instructions state that you should type arch root=/dev/discs/discX/partY - to boot your system but this doesn't work in all cases. I had to use: vmlinuz root=/dev/hdXY and i beleive there maybe other variation between: arch root=/dev/hdXY arch root=/dev/discs/discX/partY vmlinuz root=/dev/hdXY vmlinuz root=/dev/discs/discX/partY should this be clarified |
