Up to the 2.6.34 kernels, the sound on my Acer Aspire 7730 was working correctly. With 2.6.35, the speakers no longer work, and the headphone output is low.

/proc/asound/card0/codec#2 shows a difference in one line:

Codec: Intel G45 DEVCTG [with 2.6.34]
vs.
Codec: Intel Cantiga HDMI [with 2.6.35]
