DetailsDescription:
Hibernation worked fine for me for over half a year I've been using Arch on a MSI Wind U90 netbook. About 2 weeks ago I encountered the following problem: After wakeup (hibernation with pm-tools), 800x600 area (of 1024x600 screen) is covered in black after resuming (however, cursor is rendered over it); it doesn't affect any work with system: you can login, drag around windows and etc. like it's not there. Small area to the right is unaffected I tried to: - restart X (doesn't work) - switch to virtual consoles and back (it's displayed over the consoles as well!) - disable the "autodetect" hook (also doesn't work) Additional info: KDE 4.5, latest packages on 7 oct. 2010 The only way to remove it so far is to reboot the system. Resume from standby isn't affected. |

I suggest asking on forums if someone fighted the issue and/or reporting this to kernel/pm-tools developers.
