Description:
I had one CentOS 4.8 installed on virtualbox-ose-3.2.8-3 and everything worked fine. I did upgrade to virtualbox-ose-3.2.8-4 and the CentOS doesn't start. I removed the CentOS 4.8 installation and after I tried to reinstall it but it shows failures in the hard disk. I tried to install others CentOS versions (5.4, 5.5) and they works fine. Additional info: * package version(s) kernel26 2.6.35.7-1 virtualbox-ose 3.2.8-4.1 * config and/or log files etc. I'm attaching screenshots about the failure. Steps to reproduce: Try to install CentOS 4.8 on virtualbox-ose-3.2.8-4.* |

I found the source of the problem: if in the section Storage Tree,
the virtual disk has SAS controller or SATA controller, the
installation process crash by disk failure; I had must choose one
IDE controller.
