DetailsDescription:
I would like to request that libgnt be split from the finch package into its own package. Finch, a terminal-based IM client, uses libgnt (Glib Ncurses Toolkit) for rendering its widgets. libgnt is similar to GTK but for the terminal instead of X windows. I would like to use this library with other programs not related to finch and certainly don't want to depend on the whole libgnt->finch->python,libpurple->farsight,dbus etc. dependency graph in order to use it. Additional info: split the current finch package into: * finch * libgnt Have finch depend on libgnt. If this is of interest, i can supply an updated PKGBUILD for pidgin (where finch is currently derived from) which incorporates this change. |

i don't intent to split libgnt. right now there is no other application in our repos that depends on it, upstream doesn't ship that to be used as an external library.
