Please read this before reporting a bug:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Bug_reporting_guidelines

Details

I have set up a mirror and would like it to become an authorized mirror.

* Mirror domain name: ftp.u-tx.net
* Geographical location of the mirror: Germany
* Supported access methods: http, ftp
* URLs for the above access methods:
http://ftp.u-tx.net/archlinux/
ftp://ftp.u-tx.net/archlinux
* The name of tier 1 mirror I am syncing from:
gwdg.de (Germany) - rsync://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/linux/archlinux/
* Administrative contact email: francesc at u-tx dot net

I've already joined the arch-mirrors mailing list.

The whole content of the upstream mirror is updated through rsync with options:
-rtlpvH --delete-after --delay-updates --safe-links --max-delete=1000

It is synced every hour at a random minute between +0 Min. and +30 Min.

The mirror is running since Sep. 12th, it was announced at the german Arch Linux forum [1] and has since then some users daily. No problems were experienced.

Thank you for providing the service, but I'm not willing to add the mirror to the official list.
We prefer that our mirrors are hosted by universities or ISPs (at least until package signing gets implemented).
(We've had a situation in the past with some mirrors run by individuals being compromised. I hope you understand the situation.)
Nevertheless feel free to add the mirror to the list of unofficial mirrors: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mirrors#Germany

Thank you for your answer. I can understand you, but I would prefer having read an official statement at the wiki page before setting up a new mirror. That cost me time and a disappointment.

I apologize for not making this clear on the wiki page. Will update it.
