DetailsMultilib packages require stripping of binaries in /usr/lib32 and since mostly chroots are used for building multilib packages, adding "usr/lib32" to the end of the STRIP_DIRS array in makepkg.conf by default will prevent any issues with forgetting to add this manually.

Not a pacman issue- this is Arch Linux specific.

STRIP_DIRS will be removed in pacman-3.5. I'll leave it to other to decide if they want to adjust the pacman package before then...
