Details

Description:

In KDE 4.5, the "folder view" plasmoid no longer automatically opens subfolders.
Instead, you have to click an icon in the middle left of the folder.

The icon should appear on hovering over the folder in folder view, immediately below the "+" symbol.

For the air theme, this icon is present and looks like an upwards pointing arrow.
For other themes, including Aya, Blend, Elegance and Oxygen, this icon is missing,
although clicking where it should be still opens the subfolder.

Using KDE 4.5.1 packages.

Clearing the icon cache has no effect.
