It's a problem with the driver for wifi card.

There is now posibility to run this card after rmmod and modprobe the
iwlagn and iwlcore or even turn off and turn on the switch. The only way
is reboot the machine.

Did you report this to the kernel bug tracker and search if there are open reports for this?
Also since its been a while, is this still a problem?
