DetailsI found that Arch is missing support for huge pages, what is very unfortunate. It is even more unfortunate since kernel version 2.6.32, when flag MAP_HUGETLB was introduced for anonymous mapping. Is there any chance to see this feature enabled by default?

It seems the only way to enable this is to enable CONFIG_HUGETLBFS (hUgeTLB file system support). We'll queue it up for 2.6.36.
