Summary and Info:

i was using oss4 for about a year now, always worked without problems, blacklisting soundcore in rc.conf always did the trick, but lately it doesnt (i opened a thread about the topic: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=103095)

Steps to Reproduce:

follow wiki to install oss: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/OSS#Install , reboot and do lsmod | grep snd

What is the output of this command? Should be similar.
# egrep load-modules.*soundcore /var/log/everything.log | tail -1
Aug 26 20:50:21 localhost load-modules.sh: Not loading module 'snd_intel8x0' for alias 'pci:v00008086d00002415sv00008086sd00000000bc04sc01i00' because its dependency 'soundcore' is blacklisted

brb! and finally soundcore is loaded as depend of...? (attach lsmod)

ok:

lsmod | grep sound
soundcore 5025 1 snd

and

lsmod | grep snd
snd_pcm 58276 1 saa7134_alsa
snd_timer 15423 1 snd_pcm
snd 43283 5 saa7134_alsa,snd_pcm,snd_timer
soundcore 5025 1 snd
snd_page_alloc 5981 1 snd_pcm

i blacklisted all of them in rc.conf, but this didnt work either...

Modules are loaded if MOD_AUTOLOAD="no" @ rc.conf or load_modules=off @ kernel command line (grub prompt) ?
