At least building kernel26-git fails with make 3.82[1].

Fortunately, it seems to be already fixed in cvs (see upstream bug[2]), though I havn't had the time to confirm the fix yet. Just wanted to let you know before it gets moved to extra.

You're right, I don't read sign-off threads. But there is not much information in this thread anyway and the error message seems to be different than the one that was reported in the aur comments:
