DetailsFor the official Nvidia driver to work (without having to use the Arch nvidia package - which doesn't work with many cards) the kernel needs a small patch. It's located at:
http://ck.kolivas.org/patches/2.6/2.6.10/2.6.10-ck5/patches/nvidia_6111-6629_compat2.diff If that could be added to the kernel package, I'm sure people would like it. |

so this isn't really a bug.
Until Nvidia fixes this issue, the patch is the only way to use the official Nvidia drivers, which are the only decent ones with the GF4MX. This card is modern enough to remain supported.
