Description:
Both packages seem to install the same file, so it fails with:
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
lua-lzlib: /usr/lib/lua/5.1/zlib.so exists in filesystem

It seems to happen since the update of lua-zlib to 0-2. What kind of version number is that anyway?

Additional info:
* package version(s)
lua-lzlib-0.4_work2-4
lua-zlib 0-2

Steps to reproduce:
Try to install both packages.

Perhaps because these packages provide similar functionalities :
access to the zlib library

But i'm not a lua's user.....

I haven't used the packages yet, so I don't know either.
I did confirm in the meantime that there's no such conflict with "lua-zlib 0-1".
Comment by Laurent Carlier (lordheavy) - Wednesday, 11 August 2010, 15:06 GMT
because lua-zlib 0-1 was installing the zlib.so file in the wrong path

Ok, but a file conflict is not what we want, so either A) let them co-exist somehow or B) conflict. A would be nicer, if possible.

Sure, can you test if lua-zlib can replace lua-lzlib ?

If true, a conflict entry will be added.
