kernel 2.6.35-2 from testing
Noted this problem on two machines.

Upon startup, no mouse cursor visible. It is still active and can be used to interact with things.

In Xmonad, starting urxvt causes the mouse cursor to reappear. No such luck with e17.

Graphics:

Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 03)
Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 02)

Other package versions:

This problem was first brought to my attention by jr0501 on the discussion for kernel26-bfs in AUR. It can be found here: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=36384 .
