context, texexec and some other tools require to run luatools --generate once you installed texlive. Before doing this you get errors like MTXrun | unknown script 'context.lua' or 'mtx-context.lua' or MTXrun | kpse fallback with progname 'context' initialized in 0.02 seconds I would suggest adding 'luatools --generate' to the install script of texlive-bin to make these tools run out of the box. version: texlive-bin 2009.5-5 ways to reproduce: simply run context |

These commands cannot be added to the install scriptlet because they generate databases and caches in the user's home directory: they are not designed to work on a multi-user system. The new PKGBUILD now has a warning about this, and there will be a new section in the TeX Live wiki page to explain it in more details.
