Description:

In kdebase-workspace.install, you create a kdm user with /var/lib/kdm as this user's home directory. However, this directory is not provided by the package. Therefore, I'm getting this error message in my logs:

user 'kdm': directory '/var/lib/kdm' does not exist

An empty /var/lib/kdm should be included in the package.

That directory was there in my system and I tought that kdm has created it. Anyway I added the -m option to useradd.

That's possible as I don't use kdm.

Still not fixed:

$ pacman -Q kdebase-workspace
kdebase-workspace 4.5.1-3
$ pacman -Ql kdebase-workspace |grep /var/lib/kdm
$
