Description:
Upgraded to kernel 2.6.35 and couldn't get ip during boot but worked to run dhcpcd manually after boot. Found discussion about this on the Gentoo forums which lead to this: http://roy.marples.name/archives/dhcpcd-discuss/2010/0218.html I have tested using dhcpcd 2.5.7 and that solved the problem for me. This was also mentioned on the forum https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=803601 (I have flagged dhcpcd out of date so maybe this is redudant and incorrect and then I am sorry but thought it might be easier to find if doing a bug report as well) Additional info: * package version(s) kernel26 2.6.35-2 dhcpcd 2.5.6-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Enable testing Make sure dhcpcd 5.2.6 is installed update to kernel26 to 2.6.35-2 reboot ifconfig ----> no ip address on eth0 Logs show that dhcpcd times out while "waiting for carrier" nothing network related works (works to get ip by running dhcpcd manually at this point) Downgrade kernel to 2.6.34 and reboot rebuild dhcpcd package using 5.2.7 and install this upgrade kernel to 2.6.35 reboot Now network works okey |

it should be fixed in 5.2.7, I'll get a package in testing.
