According to the Python packaging guidelines, Python libraries should be named python-*. I could not find this library when I searched for it because I assumed that the name started with "python-". I must not be the only one to make this mistake as my python-beautifulsoup AUR package (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=37386) now have 12 votes and one package depending on it.

Could you please rename beautiful-soup to python-beautiful-soup or python-beautifulsoup ?

Regards,
Pierre Bourdon.

Any news about this issue ? python-beautifulsoup now have 23 votes on the AUR, almost the double than one month ago, which tends to prove that people do not find the package when searching it.

I'll rename it, it is just that I've more important things to do first. tbh I don't understand why people can't find it....if you search you would type in something like 'beautiful' or 'soup' I presume. I removed the AUR package for now.

Renamed to python-beautifulsoup.

Ronald, you will need to adopt the new package using the web interface.
