a modified storage-policy.fdi to live in /usr/share/hal/fdi/90defaultpolicy/. It changes a few things to be more intergrated and inline with Arch. only doubt could be the selinux stuff, although having it enabled doesn't seem to have any side effects.

Update changes optical burning devices from {CD/DVD}recorder to {CD/DVD}writer (more user friendly IMHO) and stops HAL handling fixed disks as it can mess up with RAID (not too good for 'Average Joelie-Archlinux-User With-RAID' (wow trippled barreled name ;)) (i personally have HAL handle all my disks except /, this can be changed by changing the last 3 "false"'s to "true"'s in the .fdi)

this should be ready for use in HAL, is it prefered as a patch?

I already upgraded hal with Tobias' changes in it. If util-linux is patched I will look at it again.

You sure it's all in it (the comment=managed so fstab-sync actually manages devices & the dvd/cdwriter renaming?). IMHO these are the final changes needed with no need for patching util-linux (there's no need to do that).

I got a new patch from Tobias with your final changes, it's in CVS now and package is uploaded (need to run db-extra still).
