DetailsI just noticed Fedora 14 is switching to libjpeg-turbo, which is 2x-4x faster than the original libjpeg. The API/ABI is the same so we do not need to rebuild all the dependent packages.
Apparently, everything went fine at Fedora: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/libjpeg-turbo I do not see why we should not profit from this on Arch. |
