DetailsThe libpurple package includes "purple-remote" but that program cannot be run unless the package dbus-python is also installed. Without it, you get this error:
$ purple-remote --help Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/purple-remote", line 3, in <module> import dbus ImportError: No module named dbus Therefore, either dbus-python should be a dependency or libpurple should not include purple-remote... |
