Details http://wiki.winehq.org/Prelink :
******************************************************************************** Prelink might be helpful when building WINE. It's used in an attempt to fix the load address of a few builtin dlls (ntdll, kernel32, user) so that Windows programs that rely on the address being the same across different programs work correctly. ... ******************************************************************************** I've already suffered from the fact that kernel32 may have different base addresses for different processes in our wine package. So I asked a question in wine-devel and they advised to install prelink and rebuild wine, which actually helped. http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.wine.devel/78812 Is there any reason to not having prelink as makedepends? If not please add it. |
