From Gajim readme:

Runtime Requirements: python2.5 or higher
pygtk2.16 or higher
pysqlite2 (if you have python 2.5, you already have this)

So dnsutils, gtkspell, libxss, and also sqlite3 may be removed from depends as they appear in:

Optional Runtime Requirements:
dnsutils (or whatever package provides the nslookup binary) for SRV support
For idle module, libxss library
gtkspell and aspell-LANG where lang is your locale eg. en, fr etc

There are also other optional dependencies listed in the readme.

About the Compile-time Requirements it does not mention dbus so i think it can be removed from makedepends.
