This is an error in the .desktop files(Menuentries) from OpenOffice. The error was prolly triggered by firestarters post_install procedure that calls update-desktop-database. It is no gtk issue, nor critical in any way. It should be not so easy to get the OO people to fix their Desktop-files though

assigned to damir for amarok
for OO stuff already a bug entry exists

what command produces this errors?

/opt/kde/share/applications/kde/amarokapp.desktop is not longer part of amarok ... now it is /opt/kde/share/applications/kde/amarok.desktop i think

does this trouble happen also with the newest amarok (1.2.beta3)?

It's triggered via `update-desktop-database`, which is called from some post_installs. Which does mean that _any_ call of that program, even if it is called from another post_install scriptlet. The simpliest way to fix was to add the -q switch to every `update-desktop-database` which is called from a post_install scriptlet

I just checked the OO_files, which indeed have an error in their utf-8, which I can't fix as my NewGreek sucks ;) But this is an upstream issue anyway
