FS#1993 - Bad config files in CUPS
|
DetailsThe cups 1.1.23-1 package has caused me a bit of a fuss, the packages backs up printers.conf and extracts a new version, which is something I doubt it should do as it wipes out all the printers and their settings. Also it seems that the mime.convs file of the package is faulty: When I tried printing a 2-page document (from both OOo and konqueror) what I got was only one page printed, and in a very small size - about 6th of an A4. Putting the old mime.convs in place solved the problem.

That is just pacman's behaviour, nothing wrong with cups. Backup files are moved to .pacsave, new ones are insereted.
