I've upgraded my system today, a thing which resulted in upgrades to Nicotine, Python and PyGTK among others.

Now whenever I start Nicotine I get a segmentation fault - not even Python messages, just a segfault right after I start it.

Any ideas what might be causing it (my guess would be Python, but what do I know)?

Thanks in advance

A little extra note, I've read in Nicotine's webpage that PyGTK should be built with --enable-thread, which is also not the case.

I rebuilt PyGTK with it but still Nicotine segfaults, please keep this notice in mind in case something else happens.

I've db 4.2.52-1, the latest. Do you think this is the troubled package?

hey, the problem is with PSYCO, upgrade it or uninstall it. I had the same problem...

celeron, your a mind reader. Upgrading Psyco did solve the problem.
