Description:
ufraw complains, every time it is run, (but still runs) about not finding libjpeg.so.8; the files I have in /usr/lib/ are libjpeg.so.8.0.2 and libjpeg.so.62, and libjpeg.so linking to .8.0.2. I assume it wants libjpeg.so.8.0.2?

Additional info:
* package version(s)
gimp-ufraw 0.16-3
* config and/or log files etc:
error message in terminal on running "ufraw":
ufraw: error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

i guess you messed up something when installing old libjpeg since /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.8 is a symlink to /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.8.0.2

reinstalling libjpeg should solve the problem

Reinstalled, which makes libjpeg.so.8 a symlink to libjpeg.so.62 (note: not .8.0.2). Don't know what happened to this link before, I must done something funny at some point...

yes you did, remove that .62 and do pacman -Sf libjpeg
