I tried to build the package blas-20070405-2 and noticed that it needs gcc-fortran to build, but gcc-fortran is not in the makedeps array.

Additional comments about closing:  blas is built from lapack PKGBUILD now.

you better of compiling lapack with blas enabled as indicated in the bug report I linked. The blas source in lapack has some bugs fixed compared to the old original blas package.
