Hello,

I would like to have a feature in makepkg that installs all the packages specified in makedepends=()

Would be great if someone could implement this. My programming skills aren't good enough. :)

Thank you very much

Does "makepkg -s" not do what you want?
Comment by Alexander Straube (a-st) - Sunday, 06 June 2010, 22:39 GMT
Not exactly :)

I would like to have an option which just installs the makedeps and quits.
Something like a combination of "makepkg -s" and "makepkg -o" :)

Well.... does "something like" a combination of "makepkg -s" and "makepkg -o" mean that "makepkg -so" is acceptable?

Try this:

. PKGBUUILD
pacman -S --needed --asdeps ${makedepends[@]}

Yes this works nice, but would be great if it is implemented into makepkg, because "makepkg -so" just unpacks the source without installing the deps. :)

Ah.... I am using makepkg from git where that does work. So tis will be fixed in the next couple of weeks when pacman-3.4 is released

Can we mark this fixed in 3.4 and close it then?
