Description:

When you install Archlinux in the installation menu GRUB boot loader can be seen twice discs. For example, two sda and sdb was noticed by several people

Is this on the actual installed system? Can we get a menu.lst attached that illustrates the problem?

This is not in menu.lst. In setup programm on the step when we must select device for Grub installation we can see double entryes for discs. This issue coused a lot of problems on Russian ArchLinux Community forum :-)

I confirm it. I install arch to real and virtual mashines.

Example:

/dev/sda
/dev/sda
/dev/sda1
/dev/sda2
/dev/sda3
/dev/sdb
/dev/sdb
/dev/sdb1

Here you can see double sda and sdb devices to choice grub install.

Ah so it's just on the screen where you choose which device to install grub on to, correct?

Aaron, yes! But installations successfuly only on rigth selection...

Yes .. it is in the menu where I ask where to write GRUB
