Description:

My laptop, a Sony Vaio Z 2010, needs a patch to use the correct colors with the i915 driver:

Discussion: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27207#c18

Patch: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=35845

I've added this on top of the current kernel26 patchset in testing (2.6.34). It applies cleanly and solves the problem.

Thanks.

This looks like a big one. I'd rather wait until this patch is applied upstream to the drm-intel tree, or the Linus tree.

Actually that bugreport has been closed as dupe of https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27220
I'd like to have a bit more upstream confirmation about the patches mentioned in that bugreport. The patch you suggested in the initial report won't get any upstream review because the bug has been duped already.

status with 2.6.35?

still broken as of 2.6.35-1, haven't tested with -2 yet.

Also the patch doesn't apply cleanly anymore so I'm still running on 2.6.34. If you know of any other patches, I'll be glad to test them.
