DetailsDescription:
VMWare Player/Server can't suspend/resume properly if open-vm-tools are installed. Since the default network suspend/resume script in the open-vm-tools package is not compatible to ArchLinux. It is expecting ifup/ifdown, which are not defined here. ifconfig up/down should be used instead. Optional improvement: dbus-daemon have to be running if using open-vm-tools, or dbus-send would fail. VMWare Player/Server can't suspend/resume properly if open-vm-tools are installed. I'm offering to check for running dbus-daemon, before using dbus-send. Attachment: patch for both problems |
