DetailsThe cherokee web server has come a long way since it first was accepted into Arch's SVN. The original rc script needed to have PID management inside it, since cherokee didn't manage its own PIDs. Cherokee has since matured enough to manage its own PIDs properly, and so the Arch Linux rc script needs to be updated to reflect that. I wrote one up, using Cherokee's SIGNAL handling (see http://www.cherokee-project.com/doc/bundle_cherokee.html).
I also added a "reload" command that sends SIGHUP to gracefully restart the server without dropping connections. |
