The web frontend also says there's no description, but the PKGBUILD contains:
pkgdesc='Gamin is a file and directory monitoring system defined to be a subset of the FAM (File Alteration Monitor) system.'

Seems like something is wrong there...

which is wrong.
I suspect that the packager modified pkgdesc line in the PKGBUILD locally before building.
