Sorry, that was the version I reverted to, it is 2.7.0-1 that does not contain the executable.

It has the executable but it's /usr/sbin/famd.
But /etc/rc.d/fam script still has /usr/bin/fam.

I've made a symlink from /usr/bin/fam to /usr/sbin/famd and the new version works fine.

Thanks. I looked in /bin, /sbin, and /usr/in, but forgot /usr/sbin and only did a which on fam.
