When devices are given automatic fstab entries by hal and hotplug, such as my USB hard drive, they have the 'managed' mount option, which allows fstab-sync to identify them, and remove them later. Current util-linux mount doesn't know about this, so mount will not work with these volumes. A small patch makes these options ignored as they should be...

(shamelessly nicked from gentoo, works with util-linux 2.12i..)

Reason for closing:  Won't implement
Additional comments about closing:  We fixed hal to not put those in there anymore, instead of that, it uses comment=managed now, which is handled okay by util-linux

I installed the patch, built and run a quick test locally. Seems to work OK. I have attached my updated PKGBUILD and file containing the patch. Please apply.

I can confirm that this patch does in fact work. Good find Michael.

Cheers, but patch was found by Ash. I simply applied and tested.
