Reason for closing: Won't implement
Additional comments about closing: Binaries are linked dynamically against MySQL and/or PostgreSQL libs when compiling with "--with-mysql"/"--with-po stgresql".

I would like --with-postgresql as well. Or at least a PKGBUILD that will actually currently build. The current links are broken (that's why package is flagged out of date)

I pushed 2.9.0 to [community-testing]. Can you guys please test? :) There's still no mysql or postgresql support yet tho. Will have a look at that later.

snort binaries are linked dynamically against MySQL and/or PostgreSQL libs when compiling with "--with-mysql"/"--with-postgresql", so there won't be MySQL and/or PostgreSQL support in the official package. You can create a package based on the official PKGBUILD and submit it to the AUR tho :)
