DetailsDescription:
GDM sets in its Xsession file (/etc/gdm/Xsession) variable $LANGUAGE to variable $LANG. This avoid of using fallback language by setting variable $LANGUAGE to for example sk:cs in users .profile file. I think setting of $LANGUAGE should be avoided in Xsession file. Additional info: package and version: gdm 2.30.0-1 Steps to reproduce: Export $LANGUAGE variable in your .profile file to 'sk:cs' and relogin threw gdm. You will see that variable $LANGUAGE will be set to your variable $LANG. |
