Description:
Compile vim with the --with-x flag on
That would make copying text between different windows easier (and avoid using the mouse)

Additional comments about closing:  I agree with xduugu. If you want it configured with X, install gvim or rebuild from abs.

I think you should use gvim if you want x support.
