getting the errors shown below, and the program itself has a very poor performance.
using a PCTV from pinnacle. the kernel module used is bttv.

There is clearly something broken with your capture driver setup.
Please post the output of dmesg to this bug report, along with any options you passed to the bttv module or tuner module when you loaded it. For more live support, join #livid on irc.freenode.net and we can probably help you out, or email me at vektor@dumbterm.net
