maybe what are you searching is obex-data-server ?
Comment by Pau Espin Pedrol (pespin) - Sunday, 18 April 2010, 16:17 GMT
No, they are separate projects. And even you can't have obex-data-server and obexd at the same time, as they conflict in providing org.openobex service.

What's the exact difference between obexd and obex-data-server, and does every project that works with obex-data-server also work with obexd? Right now we have obexd disabled and obex-data-server in our repository. Both provide the same dbus interface.

Accordding to vcgomes in #obexd at freenode:

"Differences: separate daemons for client and server, plugin architecture, support for USB and serial connections, are some of the objective differences, also there are a few subjective ones: like simpler code base ;-) Right now a few things only support obex-data-server like gnome-user-share and KBluetooth."
Comment by Jan de Groot (JGC) - Tuesday, 27 April 2010, 18:06 GMT
AFAIK gnome-user-share can use both, but blueman and kbluetooth seem to be problematic.
