This is a bug in all gnome tarballs and it will get worse with gnome 2.9/10...

Please post which package is owning those /opt/gnome/var/scrollkeeper files, since that package is broken too.

To fix this on gnome packages, run this piece of script in PKGBUILD before running ./configure:
find . -name Makefile.in -exec sed -i -e 's/-scrollkeeper-update.*//' {} \;
if [ -f omf.make ]; then
sed -i -e 's/-scrollkeeper-update.*//' omf.make
fi

pacman --owns /opt/gnome/var/scrollkeeper/C/scrollkeeper_extended_cl.xml

Returns... nothing. There seems to be no package that owns those files.

Try pacman -Qo /opt/gnome/var/scrollkeeper/C/scrollkeeper_extended_cl.xml

You have to have a big option (query) to go with a small option (owns).
